Я говорю о «Красной дорике» Ивана Фомина и его последователей с харак- терными для неё утончёнными колон- нами без ордера, которые упираются в антаблемент и создают два крупных, но стройных портика. Для нас такие от- сылки были очень важны, поскольку они наглядно демонстрируют преем- ственность петербургской школы. В целом, «Невская Ратуша» — это сме- шанный в функциональном плане квар- тал, появление которого, как мне пред- ставляется, позволит ликвидировать существующий в этом районе дисбаланс: жилья здесь много, а деловой активности нет. Возникновение административно- деловогокомплекса с правительствен- ным зданием обязательно отразится на качестве жизни. Для девелопмента — это очень перспективная ситуация. sergei tchoban The architectural motives of the admin- istration building remind the St. Peters- burg’s architectural traditions of the 1920s and 1930s. I’m talking about the Red Doric Order invented by Ivan Fomin and his fol- lowers. This architectural style was charac- terized by thin columns without capitals, which ended in a full entablature and cre- ated two large but harmonious porticos. For us, such references are very important, as they clearly demonstrate devotion to the legacy of the St. Petersburg school of archi- tecture. In general, Nevskaya City Hall is a mul- tifunctional complex, the appearance of which, as far as I can judge, will allow elimi- nating the existing imbalance in the area: there are too many residential buildings, but too little business activity. The emergence of an administrative and business complex with a government building will definitely affect the quality of people’s life. This is a very promising situation from the point of view of the district’s future development.

Находясь внутри ком- плекса легко ориентироваться: на виду у каждого стойки приёма, зоны ожи- дания, открытые лестницы, ведущие в конференц-залы, панорамный лифт, насквозь пронизывающий здание адми- нистрации. Это и есть открытость. Это и есть доступность.

Returning to the idea of spatial accessibil- ity, I emphasize: it was important for us that the person who entered the adminis- tration building should feel as free inside as on the square outside. It is easy to find your way inside the complex: everything is quite visible — front desks, waiting areas, open staircases leading to the conference rooms, panoramic elevator penetrating the whole space of the administration building. This is what we mean when speaking about open- ness and accessibility.
