сергей чобан Создание купола, знакового элемента «Невской Ратуши», по-моему, было аб- солютно верным решением. Когда едешь по Свердловской набережной, можно наблюдать раскрытие ракурса на купол и оценить, на мой взгляд, его точное положение. При этом, когда подъезжа- ешь к Смольному собору, купол исче- зает из поля зрения и не вмешивается ни в одну из исторических панорам. Когда люди сравнивают купол «Невской Ратуши» с куполом Нормана Фосте- ра над Рейхстагом, они забывают, что фостеровский купол — это внедрение новой архитектуры в существующее историческое здание. Созданное им пространство контрастирует с истори- ческим окружением. Из-под этого ку- пола можно «увидеть» всю столь непро- стую и столь неоднозначную историю Рейхстага. В нашем случае, купол — это не контрапункт, мы не противопостав- ляем его остальному зданию. Наоборот, мы добиваемся максимального соответ- ствия всех архитектурных элементов. Здесь нам важен ансамбль, в котором купол является естественным и логич- ным завершением не только здания администрации, но и всего комплекса. Наш купол взаимодействует, в первую очередь, с пространством города. В та- ком контексте, со своей общедоступной обзорной площадкой, он является сим- волом диалога власти и города, власти и горожанина.

sergei tchoban In my opinion, construction of the dome, which is the iconic element of Nevskaya City Hall, was an absolutely right decision. When driving along the Sverdlovskaya em- bankment, you may see a beautiful perspec- tive of a lofty dome, which opens at dif- ferent angles. At the same time, when you approach the Smolny Cathedral, the dome disappears from your sight and does not interfere with any of the historical panora- mas. When people compare the Nevskaya City Hall dome with Norman Foster’s dome over the Reichstag, they forget that Foster’s dome was incorporated into the existing historical building. The space created by it contrasts with the historical environment. Standing under this dome, you can “see” the whole history of Reichstag with its checkered past and rises and crests in prominence. In our case, the dome is not a counterpoint; we do not oppose it to the building. On the contrary, we try to achieve maximum harmony between all architectural ele- ments. For us it is more important to cre- ate a whole ensemble, in which the dome is a natural and logical crowning feature of not only the administration building, but of the entire complex. First of all, our dome interacts with the space of the city. In this context, with its publicly accessible sky deck, it is a symbol of a dialogue between the authorities and the city, the authorities and the townspeople.
