E very native of Ekaterinburg has seen the interiors designed by Anastasiya Stefanovich and Julia Shadrina at least once, some even without being aware of it. Public and office buildings designed by them are unique in style. Their interior designs, privately commissioned, are many but can be seen by few. Nevertheless, Shadrina and Stefanovich design-studio is a name to remember, for unlike many designers now working, Shadrina and Stefanovich are recognized experts. T hey started their joint creative career by pure accident. Anastasiya Stefanovich and Julia Shadrina were working at the same furniture plant and suddenly realized that they saw eye to eye on most issues. Despite both being graduates of Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts, they had not met before that because Anastasiya had majored in architecture, while Julia had majored in design. Last year their studio celebrated its 10th anniversary. Despite some difference of opinion, they implement successful projects while working in accord and complementing each other. They started as a duet of individual designers and by 2012 Julia Shadrina and Anastasiya Stefanovich managed to establish a serious business – a studio with a niche on the market. Apart from designers and artists, they have a structural design engineer on the staff. That is because they pay a lot of attention to technicality and executing their designs. You can draw virtually anything but making it a reality is quite a challenge. All the interior designs by Shadrina and Stefanovich seem to have been created with inspiration; so when their clients see the final version of a design they do not realize how much work has been done. T he designers’ work doesn’t get reduced to designing interiors. To keep abreast of the latest developments Julia and Anastasiya attend the leading international exhibitions, such as iSaloni, Maison& Objet, Cersaie. They study new materials and interior decoration. They often design furniture themselves. Owing to such serious work on each and every detail the works by Shadrina and Stefanovich can be called Haute Couture in interior designs. They are elaborated for a long time and are quite expensive. But the result is worth the cost.

Anastasiya Stefanovich is an architect, designer. In 2000

Anastasiya graduated from Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts with a degree in residential and public construction. In 2002 she founded Shadrina and Stefanovich design studio on a par with Julia Shadrina. She specializes in space- planning solutions, apartment planning and design, and cottage design. Julia Shadrina is a designer. In 1999 Julia graduated from Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts with a degree in urban design. Since 2002 she has worked in the studio she co-founded with Anastasiya Stefanovich. She is a member of the Union of Designers. Julia’s education and background helps her think outside the box and find the best solution to any problem.
