home landscape». This interior was made by the time Panton was a head of his own design bureau for 15 years. It can be considered not only the pop art interior design manifesto, but a step change in the career of the de- signer himself. Having tried (and succeeded with) all those numerous materials like plexiglass, fiberglass and foam propylene, he choose as common interior design material as fabric. However, the fabric has a new function – it is not just used as furniture cover or curtain material. This installation is all covered with fabric: in some places the draping conceals soft filler, sometimes – a hard structure with light sources inside. The fact that shapes of the structures have something in common with curves of human body and inner organs and the psychedelic colors nearly scream that no thrifty housewife is needed here, only adds some element of surrealism. This is the world of disco, which will take about five more years to get into full swing. Panton is often called a prophet. Here you go with a clear example.
