The Lion of Florence, the Hare of Pisa, the Stork of Peгugia, the Dragon of Pistoja, are all to Ье seen in these simple mosaics, if one chooses to consider them as sucl1, haгdly more than vvhite silhouettes, and yet full of life and vigour. The pavements at the Florentine Baptistery авd at San Miniato are intcгesting examples of inlay in Ыасk and white шаrЫе.
