Круглое здание с прямоугольным внут­ ренним двором, фигурными окнами и световыми фонарями на крыше — «типичный» детский сад внутри «ти‑ пичного» нового квартала не подчи‑ няется правилам, игнорируя сложную форму участка. Нетипичным стал под‑ ход и к программе—в качестве предпро‑ ектного исследования бюро нарисовало небольшой комикс про распорядок дня, который лёг в основу карты функций. Детскому саду внутри нового жилого комплекса «Варшавские огни» на терри‑ тории Южного Чертаново был отведён участок неправильной формы — как будто и само здание детского сада «не‑ удобно» для инвестора, являясь обяза‑ тельством то ли перед городом, то ли пе‑ ред рынком. Круглый объём превращает детский сад из объекта социальной ин‑ фраструктуры чуть ли не в главного ге‑ роя квартала.

A round building with a rectangular court‑ yard, sculpted windows and skylights on its roof is a “typical” kindergarten in a “typi‑ cal” new neighbourhood that does not obey the rules, ignoring the plot’s convoluted shape. The Bureau’s approach to the pro‑ gramwas as atypical — it drew a comic strip about the day’s routines, which formed the basis of a function chart, to serve as its ex‑ ploratory design study. The new kindergar‑ ten inside the Varshavskiye Ogni residen‑ tial development in Yuzhnoye Chertanovo was allotted an irregularly shaped plot — as if the construction of a kindergarten was a mere inconvenience for the investor, an inescapable pledge, whether to the city, or to the marketplace. The round shape practi‑ cally converts the kindergarten from a pub‑ lic infrastructure facility into the neigh‑ bourhood’s primary attraction.
