The space of this living attic has been developing rather vertically than horizontally, as it usually is. So it was mas- tered, as if it were mountain landscape with its hills, steps and caves. At the same time, there is much air and light in the attic decorated with natural color and texture: lightwood, veneer and, in contrast, open constructional frame- work made of ferrous metal. In spite of apparent simplicity of the solution, the author was struggling for every cubic centimeter of the attic space. To obtain two bedrooms (for parents and for children), the architect placed them one above another. In the result, they have turned out to be very narrow – caves, as was mentioned previously. Moreover, due to the podium constructed for the bed in the parent’s bedroom, it became possible to slightly raise part of the ceil- ing in the children’s room. Thus, the whole available cubic capacity of the attic was used as rationally as possible.
