which distributed the gigantic weight of the dominant (together with the foundation and

internal filling it summed up to 670,000 tons). The record was set when almost 20,000 m 3

of concrete were poured into the base of the tower within 49 hours.

There is the titanic work of a huge number of highly skilled specialists and the original

architectural idea, which required special engineering and constructive solutions,

hidden behind these and many other record numbers that are mentioned every time

when it comes to this complex. In this context, the Lakhta Center can be considered an

exceptional project in which most advanced technologies have become the crucial and

determining part of a large-scale architectural concept.
