Сложность интерьерного решения проистекает не только из того факта, что объемы расположены под нетипичными углами по отно- шению друг к другу, но и из интеграции второго геометрического концепта. Лестница помещена в сложный бионический объем, ко- торый как древоточец «проедает» себе путь сквозь нагромождение зданий, где-то открывая новые перспективы, а где-то, наоборот, бло- кируя вид. Конечно, архитекторы позаботились об эффектном виде не только снаружи или изнутри – днем из здания открываются пре- красные виды на Базель и швейцарский пейзаж, ночью – наоборот, взгляды гуляющих прикованы к ярким объектам на белом фоне, до- ступным взгляду сквозь окна-витрины.

The complexity of the interior solution aris- es from the fact that the volumes are located at unconventional angles to one another and from integration of the second geometrical concept. The staircase is contained within a complex bionic volume, which, like a timber- worm, is eating through a pile of buildings, opening new perspectives at some places and blocking views at others. The architects have taken care of the spectacular view from out- side as well as from within. Magnificent views of Basel and Swiss landscapes open from the building at daytime; at night, on the contrary, views of people taking a stroll are drawn to bright objects against the white background, which can be seen through the windows.
