В интерьере Перро придерживался концепции «чем выше, тем тише»: на первых этажах преобладают социально значимые террито- рии: театр, арт-галерея, кафе, ресторан, магазины. Поднимаясь наверх, посетитель оказывается среди комнат самостоятельной подготовки – библиотечного типа, они снабжены партами, небольшими кушетками, где студенты могут готовиться к занятиям или просто общаться более тесным кругом. Наконец, особо стоит упомянуть инженерную сторону проекта: раз- умеется, он был довольно сложен в воплощении, и особой гордостью стали дренажная и энергосохраняющая системы. Последняя позволя- ет экономить до 25% энергии, что при сплошном остеклении особенно важно, и состоит из двух частей – во-первых, вмонтированная в пол система нагревания и охлаждения, а во-вторых, грамотное направле- ние воздушных потоков. and at times one will find it difficult to recog- nize it as artificial. When designing the interior space, Perrault followed the «the higher, the quieter» ten- dency, placing the noisier, social spaces, such as a theatre, art-gallery, cafe, restaurant and shops, on the lowest level. When ascending higher, the visitor finds himself in rooms as- signed for independent studies – library-like spaces with informal couches, where students can talk in small groups or review lessons. Finally, we should draw special attention to the engineering aspect of the project, which was naturally a formidable challenge. The authors are most proud of its drainage and the energy conservation systems. The energy conservation system saves up to 25% of energy costs, which is especially important with total glazing. The system consists of two parts: one is the heating and cooling system installed under floor slabs and the second is the optimized air flow.
