It is quite possible, that «3xn», a leading Dan- ish architect studio, practically without any special modification of this project could have won both of the competitions in the design of such buildings. But how could they have man- aged to convince the jury, that this building was a school? It seems to be a rhetorical ques- tion. Though to call this building a school is not quire right. In fact it is a college, in which young people acquire various creative trades – fine arts, performance, fashion-design, work with media. Practically there was no context as such, since Orestad is one of the six districts of the Danish capital, which were almost com- pletely reconstructed. Taking into account a fairly bright image of this building, created, for example, by its color blinds, it was decid- ed to make it the campus centre. Its environ- ment is still under construction and is mainly composed of rather tame Scandinavian archi- tecture. Taking into account the interdisciplinarity of art, this college reminds an architects’ stu- dio most of all, that is why it was decided not to differentiate the space, having concentrat- ed on the fruitful impact of communication, interaction and synergy. In architecture this compound concept is expressed as follows: four structural elements, similar to boomerangs in their shape, are shifted along the vertical axis relatively each other. Некоторым новое здание колледжа в одном из районов Копенгаге- на – Орестад – напоминает штаб-квартиру какой-нибудь креативной организации, другим – как ни странно – дом отдыха. Вполне возмож- но, что датское бюро 3xn, не особо модифицируя проект, могло бы вы- играть конкурс на оба эти типа здания. Но как им удалось убедить су- дей, что постройка может быть школой – вопрос, по всей видимости, риторический. Хотя школой объект называть не совсем правомерно – это колледж, в котором молодые люди постигают различные твор- ческие профессии – изобразительное искусство, перформанс, фэшн- дизайн, работу с медиа. Контекста как такового, практически, не было, поскольку Орестад – один из шести районов датской столицы, под- вергнутых почти тотальной реконструкции. Учитывая же довольно яр- кий образ, который формируют, в частности, цветные жалюзи, решено было сделать объект центром кампуса – окружение его все еще стро- ится и преимущественно составлено неброской скандинавской архи- тектурой.
