Важнейшим отправным пунктом для рассуждений является нали­ чие реки Камы как главного элемента ландшафтного окружения. Поэ­ тому всё строится как рамка для её восприятия и она (река) выступает одним из действующих лиц экспозиции. Как недостаток можно отметить отсутствие пешеходной доступнос­ ти данного места, а точнее, его исключённость из общего ритма движе­ ния пешеходов города. И поэтому важным шагом становится создание некоего маршрута вдоль Камы, который создаст логику включённости данного места в общий контекст маршрутов. Это будет маршрут ланд­ шафтный, прогулочный, эстетически познавательный. Здание формируется из трёх горизонтальных кусков, которые сим­ волически отражают генезис развития города в пермском простран­ стве. Тектоническая платформа вдоль русла Камы служит прообразом нижнего цокольного этажа, в котором сосредоточены утилитарные функции, сопутствующие функционированию галереи. На покрытии цокольного этажа открытое пространство будет служить для прове­ дения социальных инициатив. Это пространство будет преобразовы­ ваться средствами ландшафтного дизайна. Верхняя часть – непосред­ ственно выставочные помещения галереи.

The basic point for discussion is the presence of the Kama Riv- er as the main element of the surrounding landscape. Therefore the design is developed as a frame for its perception, in which the river acts as one of the exposition elements. Lack of accessibility for the pedestrians, or to say in oth- er words, the exclusion of the museum site from the general rhythm of the city traffic is a disadvantage of this place. Con- sequently, the development of a certain pedestrian route along the Kama River is a very important aspect. It will create a logic inclusion of the place into the general context of the city routes and will become an aesthetically cognitive way to study the landscape or just to take a good walk. The building is formed of three horizontal parts, which sym- bolically reflect the genesis of the city development in the Perm territory. The tectonic platform along the Kama riverbed serves as a prototype of the semi-basement floor, in which all the service rooms, necessary for the normal functioning of the gallery, are located. The open space on the roof of the semi-basement floor will serve as a place for the realization of the social initiatives. This space will be transformed by means of the landscape de- sign. The upper part of the building will be used as the show- rooms of the gallery.
