Музей в Перми должен стать, в первую очередь, общественным центром, не зависимым от погоды, в котором музейные и выставочные функции задают и оформляют фон для жизни. Весь комплекс – город- ская площадь, окруженная музеями и другими зданиями, объединен- ная под одной крышей и простирающая свое влияние до самой реки. Эту концепцию поддерживает система контроля: центральная пло- щадь открыта для бесплатного посещения, а каждый музей в комплек- се можно посетить, приобретя отдельный билет или абонемент на не- сколько экспозиций. Музейный комплекс занимает всю территорию участка, включая парк. Само здание музея занимает западную оконечность участка, за- мыкая парк. Парк сохраняется, в нем устраиваются выставки скульпту- ры. Изменяется трассировка дорожек с учетом существующих дере- вьев, высаживаются новые деревья. У моста через Каму устраивается площадь с амфитеатром и подземным переходом, а на границе парка и площади – башня, облицованная светодиодными панелями, инфор- мирующими о событиях в музее, служащая знаком музея в городе. На площади находится верхняя станция фуникулера, связывающего вер- хний парк и набережную Камы. По обеим сторонам парка выстраивается колоннада. Вдоль обры- ва насыпан променад, связанный лестницами с набережной и детским парком внизу. Железнодорожная ветка частично забирается в тонне- ли, у музея организуется новая платформа «Музей», с выходом на тер- расу в уровне парка.

The new Museum in Perm should first of all become a public centre, which is not dependent on the weather. Its museum’s and exhibition’s functions should only be a background for real life. The whole complex, including the city square surrounded with museums and other buildings, is incorporated under one roof and extends up to the river. This concept is supported by the monitoring system: the central square is open for free-of- charge access, while each museum in the complex may be visit- ed after buying a separate single entry ticket or a multiple-en- try coupon, which allows to see several expositions. The museum complex occupies the whole territory of the site, including the park. The Museum building is located in the west- ern part of the site completing the park landscape. The park is preserved as a place for the exhibitions of sculpture. The rout- ing of the paths changes taking into account the existing and the newly planted trees. An amphitheater and a pedestrian subway are built near the bridge across the Kama River. On the border of the park and the square a tower faced with LED pan- els is built. It serves to inform about events in the museum and symbolizes the new Museum of the city. In the square there is the top station of the cog-wheel railway, which connects the park on the riverside slope and the Kama embankment. On both sides of the park there are colonnades. Along the steep there is a promenade area, which is connected with the embankment and children’s park below by the stairways. The railway partially runs inside the tunnels, and a new «Museum» platform is built. The exit from this platform goes to the park terrace.
