Новое здание музея увеличивается по площади с каждым последу- ющим этажом. Форма следует за функцией: в зависимости от сцена- рия применения того или иного этажа формируется его площадь. Эта прагматическая, на первый взгляд, идея находится в основе форми- рования концепции: выявление особой формы здания и выражение в его форме образа культового места. Размер здания делает его удобо- читаемым ориентиром в городском и пригородном контексте. Все конструкции, фасад, плиты и стены сделаны из белого бетона. В ядре здания содержатся лифты, две эвакуационных лестницы, инфраструктура и служебные помещения. Главный холл, из которого осуществляется доступ на все этажи, расположен в нулевом уровне. Отсюда можно подняться на эскалато- ре к входу в музейное пространство или спуститься по лестнице к под- земной аудитории. Есть доступ и к центру образования и библиотеке во втором этаже. В здании имеется также винтовая лестница, которая соединяет все этажи. Плиты имеют ячеистую структуру, в ячейках располагается необ- ходимое коммуникационное и инфраструктурное оборудование. Цен- тральное ядро располагает площадью 12x12м и управляет горизон- тальными и вертикальными силами. The total floor space of the new museum building increases with every subsequent floor. The shape follows the function: depending on the scenario of the use of this or that floor, its total area is formed. At first sight this pragmatic idea lies in the very basis of the concept, the aim of which is to reveal the peculiar forms of the building and to express these forms in an image of a cult place. The size of the building makes it look like a key point in the city and the suburban context. All structures, elevations, floor and ceiling slabs and walls are made of white concrete. The core of the building contains the elevator shafts, two evacuation stairwells, the infrastructure and service rooms. The main hall, which leads to all the floors, is located on the ground floor. From here it is possible to take a escalator to the entrance into the museum space, to walk downstairs to the un­ derground audience or to go to the educational centre and the library on the second floor. Inside the building there is also a spiral staircase, which connects all floors. All the slabs and plates have a cellular structure. In these cells the necessary communication and infrastructural equip­ ment is located. The building’s core has the total area of 12 x 12 m and operates the horizontal and vertical forces. The two walls, crossing the core, function as a structural system of the cantilevered beam, which gives a possibility to design the rooms free of any loadbearing supports.
