Основным в проекте стало создание много- уровневой среды. Вся территория квартала де- лится по принципу «частное – общественное»: «реки» пешеходных бульваров, доступных всем прохожим, пронизывают сеть «островов» – дво- ровых пространств, приподнятых над землей на 4 метра, закрытых и безопасных. На градострои- тельный подход накладывается художественное видение. Взаимодействие красного и белого, основанное на цветовом решении краснокир- пичной и белокаменной архитектуры Донского монастыря, остающегося главной доминантой района, становится главной стилеобразующей темой нового квартала.

The basis of the project is creating a multi- level environment. The territory of the quar- ter is divided according to the “private – public” principle: “rivers” of pedestrian boulevards avail- able to all passers-by are penetrating the net- work of “islands”  – courtyard spaces which are lifted 4 meters above ground, enclosed and safe. The artistic vision is aligned with the urban de- velopment approach. The interaction of red and white, based on the color score of the Donskoy monastery, which is the main centerpiece of the district, becomes the main style-forming theme of the quarter.
