APARTMENT ON THE OLD ARBAT

Нередки случаи, когда Нина Прудникова при раз- работке интерьера отталкивается от специфики самого места, и история данного проекта не стала исключением. Архитектору с первого взгляда по- любилась атмосфера старинного дома, в кото- ром разместилась квартира заказчика, но от идеи оформить пространство в духе роскошных русских усадеб конца XIX — начала XX века пришлось от- казаться — на её место пришло решение создать интерьер в викторианском стиле, которому свой- ственна величественность, респектабельность и обилие антикварных предметов. Задача была непростая — требовалось разделить квартиру пло- щадью 200 м 2 на родительскую и детскую зоны, независимые и одновременно с тем соединённые между собой. В итоге, получилась довольно ин- тересная планировка, построенная по принципу анфилады, как в старых домах. Так, из прихожей можно попасть в зону гостиной, далее по анфила- де в кабинет, спальню, гардеробную, зону детских комнат и, пройдя мимо основной кухни, вернуться в прихожую. Is often happens so that Nina Prudnikova and her team of designers are inspired by the place itself and its history. This project was no exception. The old house’s atmosphere was the architect’s love at first sight. Originally, Nina Prudnikova decided to design an interior in keeping with the luxurious Russian estates of the late 19th — early 20th centuries. However, she had to drop this idea and create something different in the Victorian style instead. This style is grandeur, respectable and abun- dant with antiques. The task was not an easy one, as it re- quired dividing the apartment with the area of 200 m 2 into two zones — one for parents and another one for chil- dren, independent and interconnected at the same time. In the end, the layout turned out to be very interesting, as it resembled an enfilade of rooms, like in older houses. Here you can go from the hallway into the living room, fur- ther on in the suite room, the bedroom, the dressing room and into children’s rooms, passing by the main kitchen and going back into the hallway.
