Дворец имени Ленина, Алма-Ата (Алматы), Казахстан, 1970 . Дворец размещен на площади Абая и замыкает собой перспективу проспекта того же имени. Здание, ставшее подлинным украшением города, отличает своеобразное покрытие, энергично выступающее вперед, затеняя фасады. Золотистая, красиво изогнутая поверхность венчания и строгий ритм вертикальных членений хорошо читаются на фоне яркой зелени и причудливой линии снежного хребта Заилий- ского Алатау. И. The building that has become the true adornment of the city is distinguished by a peculiar overhang vigorously step- ping forward and casting deep shadows over the facades. The golden and beautifully curved canopy and rigorous rhythm of the vertical articulation read well in contrast to the bright surrounding vegetation and the whimsical outline of the snowcapped range of the Zailiysky Alatau mountains.
