A person can be judged by the look of their apartment, car, or workspace. If we take a that its owners are designers in the full sense of the word. This former ventilation room transformed into a workspace keeps on inspiring the creative team to produce bold and creative ideas. T he history of the DVOE design studio dates back to 2000 when it was started by four young people. The name came to mind quite naturally. DVOE is an abbreviation of the founders’ first names (Daniil Anikin, Vera Semerekova, Olga Kalmykova, and Evgeniy Bazhenov). Today each of them works in their own sphere, separately. This, however, does not prevent them from uniting from time to time over complex projects. It would be quite a challenge to fit all the projects by DVOE (with the original line-up) in a PRO NAME monograph or even a proper book. N ow we introduce Zveno E (E Team) to the reader. Zveno E is a team of four directed by Evgeniy Bazhenov. Extremely creative and enthusiastic, these people do not know what it is – an unattainable goal. T he complex tandem of Zveno E consisting of Evgeniy Bazhenov, Yulia Odintsova, Alexander Letemin, and Ivan Stolyarov seems complex at first sight only. In fact, each of the people mentioned fulfils their own important function. Naturally, they can’t avoid arguments or heated discussions in the process of work, but that is how, according to the team themselves, they give birth to their most extraordinary projects. What the team consider most important is the interior being well considered and functional. Each project is created as if it were a film script – without superfluous details or characters. They are really fond of witty solutions that require designer’s boldness and self-confidence. It should be simple, functional and modern in style but with a twist and heart. That’s the designers’ strategy.

Evgeniy Bazhenov is a designer, architect, director of Zveno E of the DVOE design studio, and member of the Designers’ Union of Russia. He was born in 1972. In 2000 he graduated form Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts, Department of Interior Design and Graphics. Has dealt in design since 1996 (commercial and interior design, architecture). Yulia Odintsova is a designer and chief specialist in commercial and interior design. She was Academy of Architecture and Arts, Department of Environment Design. Has dealt in design since 2009, joined the DVOE design studio in 2008. She has been participant and prizewinner of a number of design and photography contests. Alexander Letemin is a 3-D artist. He was born in 1981. Graduated from Sysert’ Art School in 1998, worked in several architectural bureaus and studios in Ekaterinburg and Moscow, joined DVOE in 2005. Ivan Stolyarov is an architect, post-graduate student of Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts, and graphics software instructor. He was born in 1982. In 2006 he graduated from Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts, Department of Architecture. Has dealt in architecture since 2000, joined DVOE in 2009.
