Credo: “We understand architecture as a combination of three main domains within the discipline: theory, academy and praxis. Our approach to architecture is always through the recognition of the environ- ment. We aim to learn from all the physical and social conditions that surround architecture, because we understand that those are at the very origin and at the far end of any question that architects should formulate. We like to explore in every place that we work the built environment, its building typologies Cadaval&Solà-Morales, Barcelona, Spain

and construction techniques, but also the local procedures and the industries that are related to the construction process: we are interested on the tectonics and processes that might be able to affect on our design approach. We as archi- tects understand that architecture is a service. Architects share the responsibility of thinking and constructing the built environment, and so do ecologists, artisans, sociologist, industries, lawyers, contractors, politicians, developers, and etcetera. The resonance of other fields in our profession, by collaboration or by recognition of their thinking, consolidates our proposals. Without those influences architec- ture today wouldn’t be able to exist. Furthermore, it wouldn’t make any sense.”

Кредо: «Мы понимаем архитектуру как сочета- ние трех главных сфер: теории, академического обучения и практики. Наш подход к архитектуре всегда отталкивается от познавания окружающей среды. Мы стремимся учиться на всех физиче- ских и социальных обстоятельствах, окружающих архитектуру, потому как мы понимаем, что они возникают в самом начале и на финальной стадии любого проекта, которым занимается архитектор. В каждом месте, где мы работаем, нам нравится знакомиться с искусственной средой, типологи- ей зданий и техникой строительства, местными технологическими особенностями и отраслями промышленности, которые имеют отношение к строительству: мы заинтересованы во всем, что может повлиять на наш подход к проектиро- ванию. Как архитекторы, мы понимаем, что ар- хитектура – это услуга. Архитекторы ответственны за осмысление и создание архитектурной среды так же, как  экологи, ремесленники, социологи, рабочие, юристы, подрядчики, политики, разра- ботчики и пр. Сотрудничество с представителями других областей нашей профессии, признание хода их мыслей укрепляет наши проекты. Без это- го влияния архитектура сегодня не может суще- ствовать. Более того, она не имела бы никакого смысла».
