The staircase is another version of contrast between historical and modern. Each flight of stairs has a shell in the form of complex polygonal geometric figures. Faceted concrete clouds are hanging over- head, dropping into the stairwell. The center is “pierced” with huge custom-tailored lamps made of or- dinary sewer pipes. The cast-iron staircase railings, which hypothetically could exist here in the 19th century, are drawn on the glass balustrades.
