Ecohouses are intended for spending pleasant weekends in nature. They are frame-panel cottages with wooden slat cladding of facades and interiors. The authors’ task was, first of all, to create the most economical series, and secondly, to place the residents in an unusual environment, i.e., to turn their houses into attractions. Therefore, the main feature of ecohouses is their extremely rational lay- out combined with non-trivial spatial solutions. The integral figurative architecture of these cottages reminds strange industrial premises: either warehouses, or boat hangars. The roofs also play an im- portant role in the expressiveness of this series. They are conceived as a continuation of the walls and covered with the same boards repeating the same pattern. Adequate provision is made for rainwater to be carried from the roofs of the buildings: the insulating material is laid under the boards, which are nailed with small gaps, and there is an internal downspout. An open terrace behind the house is also an indispensable accessory of all houses in the series.
