Rivers are waterfront houses designed to be constructed along the canal that is why the main floor is raised above the water surface like a deck of a ship. On the ground floor, in addition to the entrance group, there is a sauna, which allows jumping into the canal water immediately from the steam room. The house volume imitates boat sheds, and this image is further developed in the decoration. The walls are covered with “worn out” wooden boards located diagonally, demonstrating the signs of ero- sion caused by the winds continuously blowing from the river. The terrace that cuts off the lower lev- el, the division into two blocks visually reduces the house scale, and the double pitched roof enrich- es its silhouette. The group consists of six options. Though the space-planning solution is the same, they vary in window arrangement and the color of the front facades, which makes it possible to mix and match the group.
