One of the two penthouses designed by UB. DESIGN Studio in the residential complex on Veskovsky Lane, Moscow, can be considered the benchmark of the style that the architect Boris Uborevich-Borovsky has devel- oped during several decades of his artistic career. The rigorous design of the penthouse on Veskovsky Lane, with its clear lines and a kaleidoscope of dark and white surfaces hides true sensuality. The interiors in this case are a chic setting for real life that runs its course in this restrained and rhythmically arranged space. Just like the little black dress that has long been a must-have for any woman was the signature design by the leg- endary Coco Chanel, austere monochromatic minimalism is the signature style that dominates the classic inte- riors by Uborevich-Borovsky. It seems that Stanley Kubrick was thinking of stylistic details for his “Space Odys- sey” in just such a space.
