Интерьер квартиры создавался для молодой семьи, на момент проектирования детей было двое, но планировался третий. Особенность планировки заключалась в том, что количество окон позволяло разместить мастер-спальню, кухню-гостиную и только две детских комна- ты. Заказчикам хотелось три детских комнаты, поэтому пришлось поработать с планировка- ми и удалось при пяти окнах запроектировать шесть комнат. В итоге получились три детские, мастер-спальня и общая гостиная-столовая. За счёт того, что кухня размещена в центре квар- тиры и не имеет прямого окна, свет в неё попа- дает из гостиной, и кухня является неким ядром дома, вокруг которого кипит вся жизнь. Комна- та мастер-спальни небольшая, поэтому хоте- лось немного расширить визуально её грани- цы. Отсюда родилась идея крупноформатной «ёлки» из суперселекционного ореха, покрытого бронзой, на полу и переходящего на стену. Поч- ти вся мебель, кроме мягкой, делалась на заказ по эскизам архитекторов.

The apartment’s interior was created for a young fam- ily, which had two children at the time the designing was done, with a third child being in the plans. The pe- culiarity of the apartment’s layout allowed to accom- modate a master bedroom, a kitchen-living room and only two children’s rooms, dictated by the total num- ber of windows. The clients wanted to have three chil- dren’s rooms, so I had to work with the layouts and managed to design six rooms with only five windows. The result was three children’s rooms, a master bed- roomand a common living-dining room. Due to the fact that the kitchen is located in the center of the apart- ment and has no dedicated window, it receives sun- light from the living room, with the kitchen becoming core of sorts, around which all the family life revolves. The master bedroom is small, so I wanted to some- what expand its borders visually. Hence the idea of a large-sized “Christmas tree” of bronze-covered choice walnut that stands on the floor and transitions onto the wall. Almost all furniture, except for the soft items, was made to order according to the architects’ sketches.
