ЦЕЛОСТНОСТЬ | Когда главная задача решена и архитектурная оболочка создана, когда поя- вился недвижимый скелет объекта, начинается вторая и тоже важная часть работы — мы дела- ем его пространство контактным для человека. Современная архитектура может дать своим обитателям такое количество уюта, какое они сами для себя выберут: поскольку оболочка ней- тральна и самодостаточна, она может остаться пустотной, вместив лишь самое необходимое для жизни, или наполниться любым количеством мебели и декора. Об этом наполнении мы дума- ем уже на стадии выработки концепции—преду­ сматриваем не только расстановку мебели, но и возможные места для размещения картин, скульптуры и т. п. Поиск и подбор этих предме- тов требует времени и усилий, ведь нам важно добиться целостности архитектуры и её наполне- ния. И если удачно найденный предмет совпадёт с проектным по размеру, то полдела уже сделано! СВОБОДА | Современная архитектура — это, прежде всего, свобода; она проявляется во всех её аспектах. Это стирание границ между внеш- ним и внутренним пространством, это пере- распределение или неожиданное совмещение функций, это вызовы с точки зрения тектони- ки — одним словом, это отсутствие какого-либо канона или жёстких правил. Поэтому в совре- менной архитектуре одновременно сосуществу- ют тренды с противоположными векторами, как например, мода на грубые постиндустри- альные фактуры типа необработанного бетона или старого кирпича сочетается с модой на сте- рильность, какую даёт, в частности, поверхность из кориана. И таких примеров можно приводить множество. Именно поэтому так интересно де- лать современную архитектуру.

INTEGRITY | After the main task is solved and the ar- chitectural envelope has been created, once the im- movable skeleton of a building has materialized, the second and equally important part of the work be- gins — to make its space approachable for the peo- ple. Contemporary architecture can give the residents as much comfort as they choose: since the envelope is neutral and self-sufficient, it can remain empty, ac- commodating only those things that are most neces- sary for living, or it can be filled with any amount of furniture and decorations. We think about this content already at the concept development stage, and we consider not only furniture placement, but also pos- sible locations for paintings, sculptures, etc. Search and selection of these items requires time and effort, because it is important for us to achieve a cohesive- ness between the architecture and its content. And if a serendipitously found object’s size coincides with the one we have in our design, then half the work has already been done! FREEDOM | Contemporary architecture primarily means freedom; the freedom manifests itself in every architectural aspect. This corresponds to erasing of boundaries between external and internal space, redistribution or unexpected combination of func- tions, challenges in terms of tectonics — in a word, this means the absence of any canon or strict rules. Therefore, in contemporary architecture there are trends with opposite vectors that coexist, for example the fashion for coarse post-industrial textures, such as the untreated concrete or old bricks, combines with the fashion for sterility that is characteristic of, in particular, Corian surfaces. And there is plenty of such examples. That is why it is so interesting to de- sign the contemporary architecture.
